mytp

MYTP,
What am I suppose to say?
I’ve been doing theatre for 8 years, and it has gone by so fast. Growing up I wasn’t that shy of a kid, though when I was in grade 5 mytp got me out of my shell. I used to never like performing in front of strangers, honestly, you might think ‘pppfft emma a shy kid?’ well I wasn’t that shy, but I didn’t like to stand out. In Dracula Spectacular I was ’Boots’ an out patient. Second year I was “Jane“ the environmentalist. Then in Twist of a Tongue I was “Cherry” the jock one. Now these three plays really helped who I became as a person. A lot of things happened to me during these three years; my parents got divorced, we moved, I changed schools. It was a lot to take in for a 10-12 year old. But MY was there for me, and it helped me a lot.
During these years I became friends with many different people, and I’m still friends with these people today. Though when I was really impacted by MY was during Suessical The Musical, cause this is when I really found my other family. These people became the family I never had, the best friends id have forever. These were them.
I’ve also gone to camp every year since it has been running, and has been a leader for 5 years now. Honestly, some of the best memories I have of MY is from camp. The inside jokes, the funny kids, the long hours, the camp songs, the lists goes on. Although it was “a job” to me it was just so much fun, its something that I’d love so it didn’t seem like work.
Now that were getting older, some are having to graduate. And when the final current goes down, my tears run down my face. Next year will be my final year, and when the current closes for the last time I don’t know what I’ll do. MY has been such a big part of my life, and next year what will I do?
All I know is that MYTP has been the best thing that I’ve ever been apart with, the best thing that has ever happened to me.
After I’m gone there will be the next generation of MYTP’ers. The new family, maybe I’ll be a legend, maybe I’ll be forgotten in a flash. these are the best years of my life, with plenty more to come.
Mytp, I love you guys.
